About SMU Meadows School of the Arts
With beginnings as the School of Music in 1917, the SMU Meadows School of the Arts was named for Algur H. Meadows in 1969 and now encompasses all major disciplines of the communication, performing and visual performing arts.
At the start of our second century as a University, the SMU Meadows School of the Arts is committed to providing excellent and innovative arts and communication training, the creation of new art and research, service to and interaction with the Dallas community and a welcoming climate for all.
